Every year the Samaritan Center Food Bank provides Thanksgiving baskets to area families in need through the Giving Thanks Program. The baskets consist of a set list of non-perishable food items and $50 worth of perishable foods distributed by Winn-Dixie for this program. Baskets are intended to provide Thanksgiving dinner for a family of four or less. Two baskets will be provided for families of five or more.

The Samaritan Center Food Bank would like to invite your church to adopt families in need this Thanksgiving.

Suggestions for adopting families within your church:

  • Small Groups
  • Sunday School classes
  • Families
  • Individuals
  • Schools

Please designate one person to be the church / Samaritan Center Liaison. The Liaison will need to communicate the number of baskets the church has committed to providing and the date of the Giving Thanks baskets distribution to Paul Stich by

October 17, 2017

We hope your church will take advantage of this excellent hands-on opportunity to reach out to our community this Thanksgiving and receive the blessing of blessing others.
